One of the primary suburbs of Dallas is Irving. It has a population of almost 250,000 people and is close to the airport. Due to the excellent climate of the region, this eclectic area offers a ton of outdoor activities and we have outlined some of the parks at which you can enjoy them.
Centennial Park
This town park is commemorative and has a history pavilion, picnic areas, fountain, and walking trails. There are 8 tables up for grabs on a first come, first serve basis. There is also a pavilion that you can rent at this link.

Cottonwood Creek Park
This park filled with picnic tables also has a large-scale playground at the city park, which borders Cottonwood Creek. The park allows dogs, has multiple sports fields, a BBQ area, 25 picnic tables, and a shelter that you can rent here.

Victoria Park
This large green space comes complete with a large playground, amphitheater, walking trails, picnic tables, and a pond. This beautiful park is lovely around autumn. It has fantastic playgrounds for kids, picnic tables, two small pavilions, and two lighted volleyball courts…all of which can be rented here.

Thomas Jefferson Park
This public park has basketball courts, grills, picnic areas, a playground, shelter, and pond for fishing. The shelter can be rented at this link.

Towne Lake Park
In the southwest of town lies this park with a lake in the center. There are picnic shelters and tables. There are two ponds and a stream. Here is the link to rent the shelters.
